    Hello,
I tested the theme by creating a new user.
    The free mode is disabled.
I added a list, so far everything is going well, got the payment I am redirected to paypal, ok! but if the subscriber decides to left there and not pay, the listing is still published and the status is "free"! and more I put "pending" in the configuration and not "publish" but the listing appears on the site.
What a pity, the theme is very nice and clean.

    What should I do?
    Thank you for your help.

The theme creates the user profile prior to payment as a free listing. You see this during the checkout process before going to the paypal payment page (right?).

After the payment is made, the user must click on the "return to [your company name] website" for the order information to be "posted" on the Payment Status page and convert it to a paid listing. This is referred to as http post. The most recent theme update, which is still in beta, changes the PayPal process from http post to IPN. A cleaner, more seamless process where PayPal automatically sends the transaction data back and the user is automatically forwarded to a url you provide in the PayPal admin. Most people forward to a Thank You page.

The IPN also will allow you to more efficiently process orders and create a recurring profile without requiring your new customers to have, or to create, a PayPal account.

Thank you for your response roger,

yes yes, I know registration is free
but the problem is when we add an ad in the listing.
If the subscriber decides after filling the form of his entretrepise to abandoned at checkout (not to go through),
the ad is still posted on the site! and it is more "free".

    see my screen captures
one side recording an announcement and at the same time the ad is already online
    before paying.

    something is wrong? right?
    thank you

Ok, easy fix: Go to GeoCraft Settings > Listing Settings > Premium Listing drop down select "Pending". Now, all sign ups are pending until you go into the Business Listings section and select the blue "Publish" button. This means all signups, those that have paid and those that haven't.

I actually prefer this since I'm selling in person to businesses and as part of the service offer to create the page and optimize it for SEO. If you have the customer do all the work it still gives you the control to review all of their information before posting something you may have an issue with.

    Thank you for your help.
The "pending" mode only works if the free mode.
if I disable the free status ... "pending" does not work just publish.

Are you offering Free and/or One Time Payment or only Recurring? So you know, I have Free and One Time both disabled. Only Recurring is enabled and the listing setting is as stated previously set to pending. Help me understand what package(s) you want to offer and if you want them pending your review or to automatically publish.

    hi roger,

there is the payment once activated
    and status directly published.
here is the link of the site
    http://eurekapromo.com/

take a test, register, fill out the form and stop before payment.

So to confirm based on what I see in images, you are NOT offering Free or Recurring, only One Time. I see both of your Publish/Pending options set to "Publish". Change the Free to "Pending" and the Premium Listing to "Pending"

    yes that's right.

I just do it and it does not change
the announcement is published even without pay.
In fact it is not very important whether "publish" or "pending"
the problem is that anyone can add ads on the site without paying.

    try it if you want.

Back again - I tested the same thing as this other user. I am offering all three payment types and backed out when it got to Paypal. And it puiblished the post. So someone can add a listing choose one of the paid type listings and back out when it reaches Paypal and thie entry will be posted anyways.

Geocraft is the second type Business directory theme I bought and both do not do want they are supposed to do. Guys not good at all, surely someone tested this before you went on to sell it.

Again I cannot find any way to set that all entries are to be pending not published.

    Site is here www.nzcbd.co.nz

I am repeating what I wrote above.

Go to Admin > GeoCraft Settings and CLICK on it > Listing Settings > Premium Listing drop down select "Pending" (NOT "Publish") Now, all sign ups are pending until you go into the Business Listings section and select the blue "Publish" button. This means all signups, those that have paid and those that haven't, remain pending until you publish them.

    Hey Roger

Nice to meet you Sir and thanks but intially something was not quite right on this domain with wp. It had been through a lot so I did a clean sweep of wp and the db and found those settings first time. They were set to pending so I have left them as they were - pending.

Some other matters you may be able to help me with.

Like other comments I seen on this forum re plug-ins, it appears a hit and miss on what ones you can use with the theme.

    1. Will All in One SEP plug-in work?
    2. What CAPTCHA plug-in will work? Tried Sweet (something) plug-in. It appears to be not compatible with the theme. CAPTCHA plug-in does not work either. Really need a Captcha form on contact, registration to stop these automated bots.
    3. I need a way for a new user registering to agree to Terms & Conditions - if they fail to agree with them, they cannot register. Normally a checkbox with a link to T&C page. How can this be done?
    4. Is it safe to use WP Super Cache on this site with this theme?
    5. The slider - it scrolls quite fast. How can I slow it down?
    6. Has anyone developed and using child-themes for GEOCraft as I cannot seem to find any.
    7. Is there anything else I should look out for with this theme, that is quriky?

As much as I would like to help you, I am a customer as you are and can only assist on things I have experience with.

    1. Use Yoast for SEO - all reviews say it's better and I agree. You will need to change the title tags from the current to this: <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title>
    2. Use OSE Firewall - it blocks autobots
    3. Ask theme authors to add T&C option in next update (open a new thread)
    4. I use Hyper Cache
    5. slider - ask theme authors, there may be a setting in code you can edit (open a new thread)
    6. Yes, theme authors have a child theme - http://www.inkthemes.com/community/threads/child-theme-help.826/#post-14605
    7. As a rule, always back up your theme and dbase before you do any updates and review this forum regularly

    Hey Roger

    1. Care to give me a lesson on what to do in Paypal to set IPN up..
    2. So should I setup a thank you page on my site when someone does a payment? mm, would of thought the Team here would of covered this somewhere... :)

Hello Rodger, if the theme is configured via support to accept Paypal IPN would it then only be necessary to go to Paypal and create a button code and insert it into the theme , or maybe I am over simplifying the procedure, perhaps support could also advise on this as a much better payment setup.

    Cheers Tob

The newest theme update includes these files but I haven't installed it yet as I was waiting for a list of changes. I have the list now and I'm awaiting confirmation that the beta I received last week is the most current. Not sure if Krish made some additional changes since then. As soon as I have it installed and tested, I'll post a step by step for everyone.
