I need to know how the categories are set up within Geocraft. I have been testing a few category plugins to improve search but none of them can access the Geocraft Categories - only the WP cats. How can I get them to 'see' the Geocraft Categories for their drop down menus?

Hello, The plugin that you are using is only for searching WordPress default post type category not for listing category, search custom post type category plugin from WordPress.org, This will solve your issue.
Thank you Gourav - I found a few 'custom post type category' plugins but I honestly don't know what to do with them to access the business listings categories like other categories. I want to search via multiple categorised entries with drop down or listed options using the WP categories e.g. search for all 1) bakers (business type) in 2) Guildford (Town/City) in 3) Surrey (County/State) How can I set this up with the plugin you suggested? Hello Molatin, I have searched multiple Wp plugins. But not found one which will fulfill your requirement. Theme contain category, custom category search option at the header and also a "Geocraft listing category" widget through which visitor can filter or search required category. I think plugin is not that much required.
Hey Nitesh - thank you for your help. I need a search solution because GEOCRAFT search is simply not very good. If I want to find all the bakers in London using the header search option it does not produce reliable results. Therefore 1) website users will not reliably find businesses listed in the directory 2) businesses listed will be unhappy that their listings are not always showing So a solution of some kind is required. I will continue searching...
