Sorry if I am asking something that has been asked and answered (I'd be amazed if it hasn't as this seems like such a logical requirement of a directory)... How can I make sure all Premium listings appear above free listings in category lists etc., Thanks. Martin
Unfortunately there isn't a way to do that with our theme unless you custom code something up. Sorry.
Seriously? But surely that's a standard feature you'd expect in a directory? That's terrible. So your theme offers no ways of altering the sort order of listings? So all we get is newest at the top of the list and that's it? Oh dear. That is rather pants in my opinion. Another wast of money on a directory themes that's only half baked!
It is insane to have someone pay for a featured / premium position and then appear below free advertisers!!!!!!!! That is a way to instantly lose customers!!!! Support - when will you be fixing this problem? Thanks Mo
Hello, When theme was created it is works on the functionality that you are asking. But we have got numbers of user request to remove that feature and show listing in recent order. So currently we are not planning to add that feature again.
What? That's hard to believe. Who on earth would request such a change? And, as the developers, why would you remove a function and not even leave it available as an option? Recent? That's for blogs, not for a directory! Sorry Gourav, but this is a pathetic answer. It removes any value of premium listings if they do not show above free listings! This theme, therefore, is useless to me. Another waste of money. Martin
Is there a plugin that can fix this, or a bit of 'sorting' code I can drop in, because it is a MAJOR issue for the site I built with this directory system?
Gourav This was originally part of the design - and you removed it, but didn't give the option for those of us who want this feature. No business is going to pay PREMIUM and then be listed BELOW free!!! I strongly request, along with many other people here, that we are given the OPTION to tick a box and have this feature applied to the directory. I've put ALOT of time and money into customising this theme because there are features that won't be added by INK - this one feature is ESSENTIAL for a directory.
Exactly! That's why I don't believe they ever had that feature and the above reply is a canned answer to avoid the issue. Why would anyone ask for such a feature to be removed? They wouldn't! Quite frankly I don't believe it for a second.
Hello Gourav - if this used to be a feature then you have the coding to do this. Please post the code here so kossuk and I have the option to use this obvious and necessary feature. Thank you
