    Extract message reference spam problem from hosting;

    We have received a complaint from our upstream provider that mail sent from one of your accounts has been marked as spam. Upon further investigation we found that your site is being abused by bots filling out the contact forms on your ads in order to send spam.

    The issue with this is that bots end up sending spam messages to the creators of the listings on your site, and these messages are coming from our server so our server gets reported for sending spam. We will need you to install a stronger bot trapping function such as recaptcha in order to prevent any further abuse from these spammers.

    User sent approximately 56 messages to 24 unique recipients.
    There were 17 bounces on 17 unique addresses, 30 percent of the emails sent.

    FOLLOWING UPDATE;

    I have since updated any directories using Geocraft with the new theme updates for span control. Since this has been done the sites have been monitored by myself and the hosting company over the last 2 weeks.
    It is almost 2 weeks now since updating the Captcha feature on the website and please to report that not 1 spam user has been added to any of the sites, great compared with the problems reported.

    Thank Nitesh and team for this, good to be able to give this message to hosting company :)

    Hope this is useful to fellow members.

    Cheers

    Tob
