Purchased and updated to the latest version today (1.6) but I'm unable to post a new business listing. It's not related to the update - I was unable to post a new listing yesterday too.

I removed some custom fields (Geo-related - the address and latitude/longitude fields) as I'm using this as a non-local business directory .. but I'm guessing it needs those fields to function...

Can you please let me know either:
1.) How to re-enable those fields?
    OR (Better)
2.) if you can let me know how to make the submit-form not "Require" those fields somehow..
    (Assuming that is the problem.)

Actually I think it's something to do with the email address field, although not sure why it's happening.

I just created a sub-domain, brand new install of Wordpress (not the latest version), and installed version 1.6 of your theme.
Then I imported the default "Dummy data"

Then I tried to create a new listing, but I was still unable.. but at least this time I got an error message.

The error is "Please provide valid email address"

But I do have an email address in there, its valid, and I tried several (gmail email addresses and real-domain email addresses)
Then I went into custom fields and tried:

1.) to make the field deactive - tested, that didn't work - can't post listing (but no error message, just doesn't "do" anything)
2.) to make the field "not required" - tested, that didn't work - can't post listing and getting "Please provide valid email address"

I also tried in both Firefox and Chrome and with 2 new dummy accounts as well as the admin account.
This is all on a new install, with only this theme enabled and the default dummy data that is included..

So I'm now thinking it's nothing to do with my first post because it's still happening...

But when I test on YOUR test site (98london.com), I'm able to post no problem - including using the same email address.. :/
So bizarre.. only main things I noticed that are different between your test site and my test site is that your test site has css files with version:
    css?ver=3.4.2
and my test site (which has the latest version of your theme installed - 1.6) has css files with what seems like an older version:
    css?ver=3.2.1

Do you know what could be the problem?

-- Update - Renaming both these files:"/public_html/wp-content/themes/geocrafttheme/library/js/form-validation.js" "/public_html/wp-content/themes/geocrafttheme/library/js/submit_validation.js" fixed the error and I'm now able to submit listings on both sites - so not sure which thing in both of those files are causing the problem but at least I have a "band-aid" solution for the time-being, although I'm not sure what the ramifications will be if I kept them renamed..

I am having the same problem - so frustrating that I can not make any progress. What did you rename the files from?

I logged into cpanel, went to file manager, and renamed it from there

The "email" issue had been resolved. Update your Theme and you would be able to submit the listing.
