Hello Rob, YOu can add GA code in the header.php if it is not working through theme options. For this go to the Appearance > Editor > header.php and add your GA code just above </head> tag. Check image for reference.
I have the same issue with several of my sites. It is like it totally ignores the code being on the site. I have added it both via the general options as well as in the editor and neither are being picked up by google. I have at least two of my sites this is happening with and different themes....is there a fix, anayltics is something we need to be able to have on our sites.
