We have launched an update to the GeoCraft Theme today.

The most common feature request from the GeoCraft Theme users was to allow them to hide certain fields for the Free Listed businesses, so that it can act as a motivation for them to upgrade their listings to Paid.

We have done the update to the theme today and implemented the feature to hide certain fields for free listed businesses.

Below is the changelog of things updated in the GeoCraft Theme Version 1.6.5

    1. New Feature: Now you can hide custom fields for Free Listings.
    2. Top Slider not working fine on some Android based Mobiles which is now fixed.
    3. Unlimited number of Featured Listings possible on Homepage & Category page Slider.
    4. During Editing the listings sub categories were not displayed is now fixed.

I just downloaded the update from within the forum and the changelog says it is v1.6.4, not 1.6.5.

Ok, I have the new version installed, but I don't see where that checkbox is making any difference. I went to the Custom Fields page and by default now all those fields had the checkbox unchecked. I went through them all enabling all the fields for Free Listings except for the extra 4 image uploads, the website, and the social links.

Now when I look at the free listings that I already inserted, all the fields are still there. When I go to Add a Listing from the admin panel, even though I select Free Listing first, all the fields are still there. When I click on Add a Listing from the home page, all the fields are still there.

Do I need to do something else? Something different? Do I have to remove all the Free listings and then add them back again?

    I just downloaded today

How can one tell what version they have; I see no indicators in any files anywhere?

Existing changelog is 1.6.4; where's the update?

Also; how do I change my unlikeable/unwanted (given/dictated) username?

This new forum is better than the last one?

Last one must have been pretty nasty as this one has room for improvement as well!

    Sorry to be a critic!

I also don't see where to make this change in the Settings. Also, all of the Geocraft widgets are not working on my site since the upgrade.

Neeraj, please forgive me if I am missing something but in the new update on Custom Fields, How do you differentiate in the settings of Custom Fields. The settings in Manage Custom Fields only give the option to manage the fields as on or off, but how do you set for Free Listings and then have a different set of Custom Field Settings for the Featured Paid Listings. Would it be possible to have another 2 boxes to tick to indicate whether the settings are for Free Listing or Featured Listing. Welcome any advice if I am missing this somewhere.

Thank you, Wishing a Very Happy New Year for 2013 to All Everywhere.

Hello Neeraj, sorry about my last message, I have figured it out, it is a matter of going down the list of Custom Fields one by one from the top and add or remove each from the free listings by unchecking the box on Custom Fields Options and saving. I already had Free and Featured listings and once I reset the options the fields I was required removed from the Free Listings had all reset to my requests, PLUS all the Featured Listings were left with full options, I was able to remove 4 images, social tabs, email, website from the Free Listings.
Thank you for a great job!!

Hello Again Neeraj, it would seem that all is not correct yet! I have just added a Test Free Listing via the public Add a Listing, not via ADMIN where I was working before in the above messages.

On publishing the Test Free Listing I noticed it has the 3 Social Links and all 5 images showing. These are part of the options which were disallowed on setting the Custom Fields. I have again checked in Custom Fields Options and these are NOT checked in the options box, so it appears that the theme is giving different results on listings added via the Public Dashboard Login,
Ps, I had created a different login via public listing to add the test listing. Please Advise asap.
    Thank You.

Hi Paul, if you log into your Admin dashboard, go to themes and on the Geo-Craft Theme you have installed you will notice an update showing. Click update theme to latest edition. Hope this helps.
