I tried this file and I had mixed results. Please see the "Before" and "After" screen captures attached. It seems that the image area is getting clipped short for some reason that I cannot find within the js fie. Please advise.

Also, the slider moves just a bit too fast... how do I adjust the rate of the slider speed?

I am not getting your first issue.
You have to make changes on custom.js file to resolve second one.
Dashboard=>Appearance=> Theme editor(WP EDITOR)=>JS=>custom.js

After looking at this I realize that the "image area" getting clipped by the slider issue is only happening in Firefox. Is there a fix for that?

Thanks! I think it must've been my system... seems good now.

 

I tried a lot of combinations to slow down my slide show, but it doesn't make any difference. What do I wrong :-(
