slider speed

How do I set the slider speed on the homepage? It should be part of theme options. Actually, it would be nice to have various slider options. I would like to have a constant scroll and when you mouse-over a listing the scroll stops like I've seen on many other sliders.

 

OK, found thread about slowing down slider but it would still be nice to have more options.
