About Us area?

    Hi - this shows that I really am not a wordpress 'GURU'.
    I have been struggling to find where to edit the 'About Us' area in the Geocraft theme, which currently shows the lorem ipsum. Can anyone help me find this so that I can put something else in there? :confused:

    Hi,

    If you are in the Wordpress IDE go to Appearance>Widgets>First Footer Widget Area - then use the drop down triangle(s) to display the boxes in use for that Widget.

    You might find that having less listings showing on the home page will help it to load it faster, I normally would have 12 maximum! Just a thought.

    Hi,

    You would be glad to know that the control is purely in your hands. You can easily replace your text with the Lorem Ipsum text displayed by default in the website.

    Just go to (Appearance -> Widgets) of your dashboard.
    Next, from the list of available widgets, just drag-and-drop any widget you want to the First Footer Widget Area section.
    For once, try inserting the 'Text' widget in the First Footer Widget Area , and use the drop down triangle in the text section
    Add the desired text in the content space
    Save the changes.

    This text you inserted will be populated in place of the lorem ipsum text.

    Thanks for your help, Roger B. I don't actually have any more than three listings on the home page. For some reason, the slider broke. Not sure what I did. But all of these listings are populating the home page, even though I have them marked as to be shown on the category page only. And the search bar has stopped working altogether.
