    I just became a VIP member and working on my first site using the GeoCraft Theme.

    I am unable to upload a thumbnail or listing images on the add listings page on the front end as a user.

    I can select the image but when I hit "review your listing" button it gives an error under each of these and says "listing thumbnail is required" and "Listing images is required" although I added both images.

    It wont let me continue.

    When trying to upload on image in the backend on a listing I can select it but it doesn't upload and it is not saved.

    Is there something I am missing?

    See screen shot here http://tfcservices.com/files/geo-error1.jpg

    Thanks

    Priya,

    Yes, I can to that but it doesn't fix the problem on the front end when someone is registering and adding their listing. It won't let them submit the form because it says they need to add a thumbnail image and other listing images even though they have already selected the images to upload. This will be a huge problem and the very reason I joined. I want my customers to be able to add their own listing. As it stands right now that is not possible. If you will register as a new user and try to add a listing you will see what I am talking about. Or you can use the test account I sent in our PM.

    See image for error - http://tfcservices.com/files/geo-error1.jpg

    Thanks so much,
    Darryl

    ok, for my problem I figured out the issue. I rename the "wp-content" folder on all my sites to something else. This has never been a problem in the past with any current themes and plugins. I found several files under the \library\image-upload\php\ folder that had the following at the top of each file:

    $parse_uri = explode( 'wp-content', $_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'] );
    require_once($parse_uri[0] . 'wp-load.php');

    This was causing trouble with the image upload function because my content directory is not named "wp-content" but is named something else. I had to change the portion 'wp-content' to what my content directory is named and it is working great.

    Changing the name of the content directory is a common practice and from what I have found out, themes and plugins need to be written in a way that gets the content directory name dynamically instead of having it hard coded in the theme or plugin as in this case.

    I would like to request that the above code and any other code with 'wp-content' hard coded be changed to acquire it dynamically. I am unsure how to do it so I just changed my manually but I am sure it will get overwritten when the theme is upgraded.

    Thank you

    I am having the exact same issue, driving me crazy. I even marked those two fields as NOT REQUIRED and I still get the same error. Need someone to be able to add from front end, not me having to go into backend and add a featured image... Seems to be a flaw. Are you using latest WordPress update? I am, maybe that's part of the problem

    Hi Shashank,

    I am glad to inform you that- Your issue has been fixed, Kindly visit your site.

    You are not supposed to use a Static page as Front Page display settings for your WordPress with our theme, It should be at your Latest Posts.

    That's why you were not getting the next page after form submission.

    Warm Regards!
