A Hundred mails for one username

I just cleared my inbox out of hundreds of the same email - two batches came through today for a set of 50 test listings all for the same username.

Each email had exactly the same information - they all had a list of reminders for all 50 test listings - the same message 50 times.

If one user has 50 listings, there is no need to send 50 copies each containing reminders for all 50 listings - just one will do!!!

V1.7.1 until yesterday - now 1.7.2

Please advise.

 

Please specify which type of mail you are receiving.
It's a registration mail, Expiry mail or something else.

 

My email trash emptied itself last night, so I don't have the full examples.

Here is one of the remaining emails I have. I got fifty similar to this, but with all fifty emails showing all fifty entries for that username.

There is right now, no way to club the expiry emails in one.

Since its a business owner generated business directory, chances of a single owner having 100's of listings is very small.

If the listings had not been imported on the same date by the admin itself, most of the time different listings will have different expiry date, so the chances of multiple email at once would be slightly small.

Also, we have seen the admin assigns the listing to the respective business owner too as soon as the import is done.

So, We had planned to send the separate emails for individual listings. Also, right now we don't have any plans to club expiry emails of different listings in one.

 

Nitesh - that makes total sense. Thank you for pointing that it - you're right. It should not be a problem in a live directory.
