Hello, How to add Checkbox to register form, before "I agree with the terms of use", like this one? http://www.restaurants.com/profile/add.php Thanks.
Hello, I will not suggest you to add terms and conditions at the registration page. i feel is there is no need to stop visitor to read terms and conditions while logging in or registering. You can add T & C link in the front page just above slider with nice image and some text. For example check this website. http://www.nzcbd.co.nz/ To add link at the front page follow solution below.
Hey Nitesh Ian here from nzcbd.co.nz. In the posts concerning this issue around T&C I clearly said what I did is not the best option. It should be where the above site has it, on the registration and only appear on registration and then not appear again. OR it is placed in the List form when adding a listing. Either way is far better than having it on the main page where I have it. Please Nitesh - this is your opinion only and not users like me and the poster of this thread and others who posted in the thread I started on this subject.
Yes, Ian (nzcid) is right I think, it is a temporary option, but not the best ones. For a lot of countries (US, Europe, etc.), the law obliges not only a checked box but the box must be unchecked (and not an already checked box), before the phrases such as "I agree with the terms of use", "I accept this TOS", etc., like this ones: http://www.restaurants.com/profile/add.php Hoping Inkthemes' Team takes account to this in next versions. Thanks.
The way they have the Terms and Condition appear in a pop up box is also a great way to handle the page. The user does not leave the registration page. We need to have an understand Nitesh that not having a Terms & Conditions agreement from the user / lister could very well leave the site owner open to legal action on some fronts. I pray my friend you and the team will consider us the end user and offer a way for us to do this seemlessly as things are not getting better out here, just tougher to comply with everything that governments and laws throw at us.
Yes I agree.... I really want a check box at the registration page and not the Home page. I would like to have a business directory home page that look sharp and doesn't have "terms and conditions" in the middle of the page.... this would deter potential clients. I would like to have a check box that explains to the client that my business have complete control over the site and we deiced if the business is appropriate. With out a check box I am open to businesses promoting material that doesn't fit my business model... for example... people selling illegal merchandise, pornography, racist material, etc etc. Please can you help me with some way of getting a check box on the submit listing page. thanks
