Hi, Can you help me with this issue please. I am seeing the title of the whole site added onto my page titles in the search results. I am sure this is having an effect on my ranking. Please see the screen shot. I have done the fix you gave me for double titles, this worked. Now I notice I have this issue. Thanks.
Hello Paul, This shows your pages crawled by Google. Maximum time Google shows the title of websites in search result because it cannot get the content of page or post title . For this you have to put better content on your site and follow some seo tricks to create your website Google search friendly. You can try Yoast plugin for seo. Thanks & Regards Pramod
Hi Pramrod, thanks for getting back to me. I do use Yoast and I have the pages optimised very well with unique content. You can see from the screen shot that Google can see the page titles, and the content, but for some reason it decides to put the title of the whole site after the page title. For example, on the second one on the screen shot, the Google title is: Rug cleaning - carpet cleaning Doncaster. It is the 'carpet cleaning Doncaster' that I don't need on ever result. Thanks, Paul.
Hello, For this if you are using different title on each page and don't required main title then simply remove that title from Appearance => customize =>Site Title & Tagline. Thanks & Regards Pramod
Hi, When I do this the title is totally removed from the whole site. I can see this viewing the source code. I just want to stop it appearing twice in the title. Thanks, Paul.
