Add Widget into header

I would like to add a widget into the header near the logo, please advise the best way to do this.

I am interested in the same thing on my Colorway theme. I would like to offer my "free guide" in the top right where there is so much white space--across from my logo. Is this possible? My URL is http://marciapell.com/. Thanks for your help.
