I am trying to implement a few features that are compatible with the standard WP themes, but don't seem to work with Geocraft. 1. I want to allow contributors to have access to the dashboard so they can make posts to a blog. When people, other than the admin, are signed in with Geocraft, they don't see the standard WP Dashboard option. 2. I want to implement the standard WP login, so users can use Buddypress. This is also a feature that does not work with Geocraft, as it seems... Seems as if the Geocraft login conflicts with the standard WP login. Anybody have any ideas?
Hello, 1) The themes is an application theme and have several modules for ex: logging in, The theme redirects a user to front end login rather than redirecting them to WordPress Dashboard. If you want your users to be able to access their dashboard then, you can ask theme to login access http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin from here they can see the backend of their account. You can use some plugins like USER ROLE EDITOR, here is the plugin link: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/ and assign post submission permission to a specific group of users. 2) I would like to inform you that the theme has it's own custom login/registration form and other plugins like BuddyPress are compatible with those themes which uses default WordPress login/registration form. We can remove our login/registration form and make it compatible with such plugins. We will soon going to implement an option in the theme so that a site admin can either show our theme's login form or default WordPress login form. You will be notified once it would be done.
