Does the latest Geocraft release offer registered users access to post blog entries? I have set permissions for all of my users to Author, but blog post is not an option on the their dashboard. This is an important feature I promised my clients.
Hey Nitesh, Can you supply a new list of files that are edited between versions 1.7.7 and 1.7.8 so I can make adjustments accordingly? I found a post, however I changed the three files, and did not find the changes were successful. Thanks again. -Kent
Nitesh, where will my clients find a link to post to blog on their dashboard? I don't see it. Also, what permission level do my clients need to have in order to make a blog post?
Hello, Role editor will work fine in version 1.7.7 too. Just assign user role "Author". Theme will allow user to add blog post through dashboard.
Nitesh, I still do not see where users assigned the role of author can make blog entries from their dashboard. refer to screen_01, which is the dashboard for user erich. It does not show any link to for blog posting. Screen_02 shows the user admin interface where I have assigned user erich the role of author. I am using v. 1.7.8. Please help me solve this!
Hello, Go to User > Add New and assign role "Author" for a user. Sending image for reference After that user need to go through the link. for example:- yoursite.com/wp-admin
