First question: Is there any way to alphabetize the order of the Classicraft categories? I normally use the Category Order plugin to order WP categories, but the Classicraft categories seem to fall outside of this plugin. The only way I can see is to set them up originally in alpha order - but if I want to add new categories later, they would no longer be in order. Alternatively - is there any way to remove the large category list on the home page and simply use a custom menu in the sidebar with a widget? Second Question: It looks as though contact requests to the individual advertisers are not actually forwarded to the advertiser? The only way the advertiser would know that they have a query is by logging into their dashboard? I am hoping this is not the case as this is not very convenient for the advertiser and not typical for a site like this, but in testing, we are not getting any notification. In searching through other responses, I see that this is apparently supposed to be a feature already included in the theme - but it does not seem to work. And the theme is the latest version - just downloaded today, and this is a fresh installation of both WP and the theme. There are also no other plugins installed that could be causing any conflicts. thanks - Melody
Hello Melody, Greetings from InkThemes! Could you please provide us 'URL' of your site along with some edited screenshot so that we can better assist you? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks & Regards! Priyanka InkThemes.com
Regarding issue #1 - I found the correct template and was able to remove the category loop on the home page, and now have an ordered menu in the sidebar throughout the site - took a lot of work to do, but it looks good and makes category access much easier throughout the entire site. As to issue #2 - here is test ad created, with my personal email. We have tried several ads now with multiple email addresses, and we are not receiving anything sent, although they do show up in the admin panel and advertiser's dashboard. Here is the URL of the ad: http://thepaymentsmarketplace.com/ad/test-post/ Thank you for your help! Melody
HELLO???? Is there any way to get faster support for issues? This is really holding up the project and needs to get resolved ASAP, especially since this was supposed to have been fixed according to previous support tickets here? Also - The ads do not seem to support live links? For example, I have a field for website - but it is not showing as a live link to the advertiser's website even though the full http:// is used? And the description box does not support any formatting - you cannot even break the text into paragraphs, so the end result is not very pleasing - which means that it is not likely to be very effective either. We have also discovered more issues that seem to be related to manually entering ads from the admin dashboard, as opposed to through the web form. This was discovered by uploading the sample data - the sample data shows correctly but the ads entered from the admin dashboard do not: 1) The description is not showing up on the home page 2) If ad is listed on multiple categories - ALL of the categories are showing up on the home page, which looks pretty bad! 3) The categories and the 'author' name are listed on the TOP of the listing - on the demo these details are listed UNDER listing content. 4) What is the best size of image to use? For example, if a company wants to use a logo - what size should be used so that it shows well? Update to above: The imported sample data displays fine - but even when we enter an ad using the form, the ads are not showing up correctly! If the ad is a free ad - the image is shown on the left NEXT to the company details. As soon as we update it to PREMIUM - the image moves to the TOP of the listing above the text! Also - It appears that the advertiser must log in after the set up of the ad and actually enter the main body of the ad manually in the dashboard AFTER the ad setup, as the 'description' text set up during the initial ad process does not populate the full text area under the ad, only the small description area? Please help today - really need to get these issues resolved as we have a deadline to meet for this directory launch - Melody
Hello Melody, I hope you have configured the theme as per the theme documentation, If not please refer it from your members area. I would like to clarify few things, Additional Information related to your classifieds are shown via Custom Fields as a text on the detail page, but, I have forwarded your requirement for displaying the links and email in the anchor tag. Probably this would be implemented in next release. Here are the solutions to your other queries given below: 1) The description is not showing up on the home page --> Just check the custom fields from Dashboard->Settings you will find the option for each custom field to be shown for FREE ads , Just turn it on for your description field. Your description field will be displayed. 2) If ad is listed on multiple categories - ALL of the categories are showing up on the home-page, which looks pretty bad! --> This is the theme functionality, It is not possible to show selected categories there. 3) The categories and the 'author' name are listed on the TOP of the listing - on the demo these details are listed UNDER listing content. --> I am afraid to say that - We didn't get these details under listing, please check: http://www.inkthemes.com/previews/?demo_id=42&demo_redirect=no or let me know if you are wondering something else, 4) What is the best size of image to use? For example, if a company wants to use a logo - what size should be used so that it shows well? -->Well, there is no restriction on this, but for logo you can use: 260 x 50 in pixels and for Classifieds use: 277 x 220 in pixels. Do let me know if you need further assistance, I will be glad to assist you, Warm Regards! Naveen Kolhe InkThemes.com
