As a community of Directory owners wouldn't it be an idea to interlink relevant directories. Would it not be a great way to create good solid SEO and backlinks? Just thought I would ask to see if others were thinking about it. Regards
Actually - reciprocal links are no good for SEO, and neither are link wheels/pyramids, which is effectively what you'd be creating by linking all of our directories together. It sounds good in theory but it's actually not good for SEO unfortunately. Of course - there's nothing wrong with it from a traffic perspective - if you're looking to drive visitors between directories, this would be a fabulous idea, especially if they're geographic/niche related.
Good Morning to all, well it is in my part of the world. Just following up on the replies I got regards: Yes, hickman120 you are correct it isn't any good for SEO but from driving traffic in a geographical area and niche that would be a good idea. So if anyone has a directory setup in the Sydney, Australia. If anyone wants to join up in driving traffic to each other I have a directory that covers the area of Hornsby, NSW, Australia. http://www.inhornsby.com.au - let us know. Regards John
