Auto Thumbnails for Uploaded Videos

Some threads are saying that this is an option. some support folk say if you have FFMPEG installed on the server then thistheme will auto generate thumbnails for user uploded videos. some support folk are saying it doesn't in other threads or that this is under development. So what isthe true answer? I have FFMPEG installed on the server. I have

Generates thumbnails, HTML5-compliant videos, and embed codes for locally hosted videos. Requires FFMPEG or LIBAV for encoding.

It is still not working. So please clarify if this theme can pull thumbnails from user uploaded videos! This has been ridiculous.
