Auto Update Footer Year

Hi - Whenever I add a date to the footer in my sites, I always add this code to make the date auto-update every year:

<script type="text/javascript">
document.write(new Date().getFullYear());
</script>

I added this to the Footer using the InkTheme options. But it showed up as text, didn't take the code. Any advice?

I have checked this code at our end and it works perfectly as it should be..

You are suggested to clear your cache and check the code after that..

Please see screen shot attached. Shows that the Theme is not taking the code. It is displaying the code as text, not as code. Is there some way to fix this?

 

Hello Ross,

Would you please deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
