Hello I'm building a global directory in a certain niche and need for people anywhere to dial businesses in any other country. I found this... http://stdcxx.apache.org/doc/stdlibug/26-1.html ...with examples of the same phone number dialled from different places. 754-3010 Local (541) 754-3010 Domestic +1-541-754-3010 International 1-541-754-3010 Dialled in the US 001-541-754-3010 Dialled from Germany 191 541 754 3010 Dialled from France What is the best way to format international phone numbers so that anyone can 'click to call' from a mobile wherever they are?
Hi Mo, The International number will allow to phone from anywhere in the world, most if dialing from area local will recognize the number and drop the + part themselves but will still work if they don't. The mobile will work using the International from anywhere, I think best with example +1 541 754 3010 International Cheers, Tob
Hey Tob I thought that might be the case, but that link info above made me doubt it. Thanks for the info - are you super sure this works!? ;-) Cheers Mo
Hi Mo, All I can compare is my own observations that when in US, Asia, Far East or anywhere in EU my own international phone contact on own mobile works from anywhere to home, but difficult today to be super super sure but I would go with it, you know how you can recognize your own international number, you can remove the Int code if you wish, but you can still call next door using it. Take Care & Cheers Tob
Hey Tob I do reckon you're right - same experience for me when travelling, as far as I can remember - just checkin' Cheers Mo
