I have installed the Blackbird theme. I configured the Home Page newsletter to show but it does not email me when someone signs up. Where does the email address for the newsletter get set? My Contact me page is working. Thank you
Newsletter use the same email address that used in contact form, If you are using any plugin then, deactivate all plugins one by one and checkout which plugin creating this problem. This will solve your issue.
I am having the same issue. I am not receiving notification of newsletter sign up or contact form sign up. My site is about to go live & I can't figure out the source of problem. Also, how can I change the email address that the notifications go to?
Please do check the version of the Blackbird theme that you are using whether it is latest version(i.e version 1.9.5) or not. 1. if you are using the latest version of this theme then, the newsletter signup issue are occuring due to plugin if you are using, deactivate all plugins one by one and checkout which plugin creating this problem. 2. If not, then download the upgade version of Blackbird theme from members area and update your theme. This will solve your issue. Newsletter use the same email address that used in contact form, for the sake of change the email address go to the General settings panel (Settings ->General Settings) in your dashboard and change the email address from the email address section. Someone from ink themes logged into my account & reinstalled, deactivated all plugins and said it should work - it does not work. I really am desperate and need this to be fixed asap. What else can I do??
Can this email opt in get tied in with something like aweber? it is kind of pointless to get an email notification of an email added to your list if there is no way to mass email subscribers back....
Marketpacer, I agree with you. the standard newsletter opt-in feature installed in the Blackbird Theme leaves much to be desired. They should make it to integrate with any optin web forms like Mailchimp and AWeber. To make matters more complicated, when trying to add widgets for AWeber, (I've tried three different one's so far) they don't even show up! Getting a good newsletter opt-in working on the site I'm working on is frustrating because it's costing me both time and money and it isn't yet resolved!
