Blog posts on homepage

Hi everybody,

I do not understand how to manage which blog posts will appear or not appear on homepage. Is it a category thing? I would like to have the newest 3 posts on homepage.

Hello,

You can't manage which posts will appear on frontpage because latest post shows automatically.
You can make any post Sticky Post that post will always show in frontpage.

It will resolve your issue.

That doesn't work on my site (www.ferienhaus-conil.com). It doesn't show the latest posts. It shows some posts from in between. Only Sticky Posts stay on top and show up on front page in the two first places. On Blog-Page ('Aktuelles') it shows all posts and the latest ones first, which seems correct to me. Do you have an idea what is the reason for this behavior?

In home page those blog post displays which has feature image, so please use feature image with latest blog.

It will resolve your issue.

I am sorry, but I have to say, that my posts all have a featured image, but they don't appear on homepage though. So, what's the trick?

as I said before, I want to show the 3 newest posts on my home page. This doesn't work.

The 3 posts showing right now on the home page are not the newest ones. The first 2 posts only show, when I make them sticky. If I remove the sticky item, they will disappear, even though they are newer than the third post.

In another words:

When I have no sticky posts, I expect to see the three newest posts with featured picture on home page. But I get posts out of April and May.

Hello,

This issue maybe because of plugin. So please deactivate all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Please follow the screenshot given below.



But let me tell you that you have to manage "category_name" in "front.php" file manually as I have mentioned "hello" (i.e. my category name of blog) in screenshot, likewise you have to put your own blog category name over there and if you want to show more than one category then mention category name by using comma(,) after one name.
