I created a page and it appeared correctly. I pasted the link as one of the links for a slider. It worked just fine until I went back and edited the page to "Private" when I click on the link a page comes up that the requested page can't be found.
Hello Robert, If you are setting any page private then it will be visible only to you. It means to admin if you are logged in. No one else can see that page. There is nothing to worry about it. It is the obvious logic of WordPress. Thanks & Regards Nitesh Raghuwanshi
I don't believe that is true. If I don't make the page private it will show up on the menu, which I do not want. However, it seems like the issue has been fixed. I created a page previously and marked it private but used the permalink in the Slider 4 Description "Read More" link to host a page where visitor can find more information. You can see what I mean by going to http://wp.alert2.com and click on the Read More in the 4th Slider.
Hello, Select the page visibility to public for that page and then create the custom menu from the Menu panel ( Appearance ->Menus) in your dashboard, and add only those menu that you want to display in the menu bar and remove that menu which you do not want to display in the menu bar. This will solve your issue.
