    Hi,
i have wordpress installed in a subdirectory of the WWW directory that have domain1.com as principal domain.
my wordpress domain is domain2.com. same as domain1.com/wordpress.
The first thing i did is changing the site_url() function used with some pages to home_url() because i dont want to have an URL like domain1.com/wordpress/page_id=7 but
    domain2.com/page_id=7. And now :
1- I can't log in to the wordpress dashboard. i'm allways redirected to the URL :
http://www.domain1.com/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://www.domain2.com/wp-admin/&reauth=1 same as the log in page.
2- the home page URL when i clic to "home" on the top menu still :
    http://www.domain1.com/wordpress/ . It should be : domain2.com.
but the logo redirect me to the right URL : domain2.com

    thanks for your help.

Upload WordPress in your root directory, Then go to www.domainname.com/wp-admin and follow instructions given there.

    Or

Go to your Cpanel and click WordPress. It will automatically install WordPress in your root directory and provide you it's username and password.

    Hello Aliounn,

According to my understanding you are using multi domain hosting, So you can host multiple website.

Suppose you have a domain name (domain2.com) and there is a wordpress installed with a directory name "wordpress" inside your main hosting, So in that case you not need to map your domain to that particular directory. It works well and you require to contact your hosting company to solve this issue.

There is not need to make any change in the WordPress Themes itself.

If you still need any help, do let us know.

    Thanks
    Nitesh
