categories not showing on website

Hello

I have started building my site and
Would like to add some listings.

However, I am having problems with the categories
Not being displayed on the site.

In the dashboard I have tried to add category names
Under business listings but have
Been unsuccessful and under
Categories on my site it shows none.

Please advise
