Hi There I have sent you an email with my site details (I don't want to post them here). As per your rules - I am also posting my problem on this forum. Please note that the CSS for my site has been heavily modified, but very few changes to the functionality or other code in the site has been made, so the listings should still display correctly. There's a problem with my site where some of the listings aren't being correct shown on the pages. Here's an example... The category 'Sydney' has 69 listings. But the pages aren't being shown correctly... Page 1 shows 2 listings... Page 2 shows 0 listings... Page 3 shows 2 listings... Page 4 shows 10 listings... Could you tell me why there aren't the same number of listings on each of the pages please, and how to fix this? I look forward to your reply. Dave.
Thanks. I updated to the latest version of the theme today and unfortunately it has caused 2 other major problems (that I know about). 1. The homepage widget section doesn't appear to function correctly. The widgets that are in the 'Home Page Widget Area' of my Control Panel are not reflected on the home page. 2. The description section of every single listing appears to have vanished. The listings have content (I can see this in my Control Panel), but the description does not appear on the front-end. This is obviously a major problem.
Hello, 1) You have set home page off in the Appearance > Theme options > General settings. That's why this issue was occurring. 2) In the custom fields you have selected "no" to "Show on detail page?". Which was restricting description area to to display (Check image for reference). All is working fine now. Please check your site. Thanks & Regards Nitesh Raghuwanshi
Hi Nitesh Thank you so much for your help. These settings must have changed when I updated the theme - these 2 problems weren't there before I updated the theme, so those settings must have changed when I updated. Now there's another problem, and the original problem from the start of this thread... 1 In Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page I've chosen a front page to be a static page - 'Hostel Information'. But it's not showing the front page as 'Hostel Information' - it's showing the listings... How can I get the page 'Hostel Information' to show as the home page? 2 The original problem from my first post... The category 'Sydney' has 69 listings. But the pages aren't being shown correctly... Page 1 shows 2 listings... http://hostel.info/listcat/Sydney/ Page 2 shows 0 listings... http://hostel.info/listcat/Sydney/page/2/ Page 3 shows 2 listings... http://hostel.info/listcat/Sydney/page/3/ Page 4 shows 10 listings... http://hostel.info/listcat/Sydney/page/4/ Could you tell me why there aren't the same number of listings on each of the pages please, and how to fix this? Thank you for your help Nitesh
Hello, We have checked your website and you are using child theme, In which some editing is done which is creating issue. So, could you please provide the following information listed below. Thread Link: http://www.inkthemes.com/community/threads/category-pages-not-listing-listings-correctly.10109/ Your Website URL: WordPress Username: WordPress Password: Send this information on our email at [email protected] We will check and try to resolve your issue.
Hi Piyush I am using a child theme - but that's not the cause of this problem. I disabled the child theme and went back to the parent theme and the problem still existed. I have already sent that information to [email protected] but I will send it again. This time can you please actually login and test instead of assuming an inaccurate diagnosis?
