I have different requirements for the categories widget in different areas of the site.

    i.e
On the Home Page, All Listings and Featured Listings pages I have a sidebar widget set to "Show Post Counts" and "Show Hierarchy" as the number of listing per page allows this to look OK.
    However
On a single listing page I set the category sidebar widget in the "Listing Widget Area" to be "Display As Dropdown" as the pages are relatively short length and this suits the layout.

So, if I do this the problem is it changes the settings for the other widgets so I finish up with either all dropdown or all full category lists.

I'm sure this isn't meant to happen - is it? Cache plugin is turned off!

    All help appreciated

In the above post setting the widget on the home page is OK as the number of categories matches the number of listings and look good.

On a listing page if I set the category widget to be a dropdown type it would match the page length and also be OK.

    HOWEVER:

If I set the listing page widget to be a dropdown type then the home page widget also becomes a dropdown type which I don't want.
They should work independently on each page type and yet on my site they do not.
My site was last updated by Naveen to fix the star rating problem by the way.

OK, I've heard from Naveen in support and it seems that this is the way the theme is coded rather than it being a bug.

I have requested that they consider making each page separate in its usage of the widget so that we have control over individual pages and hopefully they will consider it for a future release.
