To change background color, you can use below code in Custom CSS field of your dashboard..

Code:

.header {
    background: brown;
}

Yes, you can change your image via FTP.. You just need to go to header file and replace the header image over there..

File name is header.php and you will get this under wp-content->Theme Folder->Theme Name i.e. (RoadFighter)
