Changing from Theme home page to home made front page.

    Hi,
    I want to ask if the theme home page will stop to be ranked by google, if I replace it with a new home page that I make.

    I want to make another home page. But I will want to change back to my 'theme home page' in a few months. So I don't want to delete it.

    Can you tell me what happens to the theme home page when I make another page the home page please.

    Will it stop being ranked, can it be found at all?

    I will wait for your answer before i start to make changes.

    Would you please let me know are going to change the link of the home page along with the home page?

    If you are redirecting the new home page to the previous link then it will not have any effect.

    But if you are going to make a new home page with a different link then it has an effect on the ranking of the home page.

    Yes, I will make a new home page.

    Then select 'a static page' in the Reading Settings.

    Is this correct?

    Or do I need to do anything else?

    Can I ask what happens to the current home page if I do that.

    For example, will that page still be floating around for people to see? That would be fine, I just wondered if it became just like a normal page?

    The current home page will be present there it won't float around for the users.

    When you want the older page again, you will able to set the home page again.

    In the way, it is now.
