Code appearing in widget area: ^M

There is some code that's appearing in widget areas ...

• Sidebar widget with search option (see image)

• Footer area (see image)

​

Any idea how to remove it?

It looks like we're half-way there.

• The footer area has been cleared of the "^M" code [Thank you!]; however,
• The sidebar widget is still displaying the "^M" code.
