Hello, I've been tinkering away on a site that I bought VideoCraft for. I think I have a few questions for you. 1. I don’t want people to be able to upload videos to the site - just need the ability to import from the video sharing site. How can I turn that off? 2. Will I be notified when videos get uploaded if I leave the setting to pending? 3. Can people become members when they sign up to comment? Is that built in or will I need a different plugin? I know a few that will work. Thanks for the great work. I'm looking forward to launching my site.
One other issue has come up. I've imported my YouTube videos through a plugin. http://www.ternstyle.us/automatic-video-posts-plugin-for-wordpress/ It puts the videos in the wp categories not the video categories. Honestly, having to categories has confused me a lot with this theme. Is there an easy way to transfer from wp categories to Video categories?
Hello, 1. You have to do make some changes in files. 2. -When users post their videos admin receive a message. -When admin publish the video from pending then users get message. -When admin will change the status of post from publish to pending no one can receive message. 3. When people signup for comment they will not become member according to theme functionality. 4. No options to transfer from WP categories to Video categories. Thanks & Regards Pramod
Thank you. I didn't get an email about your response. The developer of the automatic wp video plugin has contacted you re: integrating with the theme. I think it will add a lot of functionality for your users.
I'm really thinking I need the functionality of automatically importing videos from YouTube. Since your theme uses it's own Video categories it's not functional with the best option to do this. How do I get a refund of your theme?
Hello ! For stopping people to upload their video the better option is to disable the button in header. Please share URL of your website. Thanks & Regards Pramod
http://myalbertamatters.ca/ I don't want to host others videos. I do want them to be able to add videos from hosting sites. Disabling the button in the header (and the link in the footer that you missed) isn't the best option. I need to be able to change the option to upload their video to my site. You're missing my intentions. The help before my purchase was helpful. Since I purchased it you're giving me ridiculous responses. As per your terms of service I have 30 days to request a refund if you can't provide the support I need. I feel this thread is proof of that.
Hello, Sorry for the inconvenience. Please Paste the code given below in Custom CSS section (Appearance -> Theme Options -> Styling Options -> Custom CSS) of your dashboard. Code: ul.footer_topmenu { display: none; } .top_strip .menu .associative_link { display: none; } Thanks & Regards Pramod
My friend, you missed it once more. Your code strip off the top and footer menus. I am NOT wanting that. People need to be able to navigate. I've added a screenshot of what I want to remove. Hopefully, this clears things up for you. Actually, if both selector buttons are removed and the video link kept, it would be less confusing for people.
Thanks. That took out out what I needed out. 1 more issue came up. On http://MyAlbertaMatters.ca you'll see 1 video I uploaded through the system to make sure it works. If you click on it it takes you to http://myalbertamatters.ca/video_listing/an-interview-with-premier-of-alberta-jim-prentice/ and a 404 page appears. What's up?
Hello ! This is just because of permalink. Please follow below link to solve this. http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-wordpress-posts-returning-404-error/ Thanks & Regards Pramod
Here's my permalink setting - I guess saving it again solved the problem. I've never seen this with WP before...and I've been using it since 1.7
Hello ! This usually happens if your .htaccess file got deleted or something went wrong with the rewrite rules. Let me know for further doubt and queries. Thanks & Regards Pramod
