I am trying to define which videos/thumbs appear next to the Featured video on the home page under the 'Related Videos' tab. I assumed if I assigned a common title and/or common tag only for the videos I wanted to show up that would make them 'related' but that doesn't seem to be the case. How are the 'Related Videos' defined and how might I make this work? On a related note, I read a previous post about making a specific video the Featured video on the home page at all times. The reply was that it would be included in the next release but I've upgraded to the latest release and I don't see an option for that. Has it been included and if so how do I find it? Thanks for your insights and help in this matter. Love the theme!
Hello, Sorry for the delay, Related videos display on the bases of categories. Same category videos will display at the video single page. Featured video option is not currently available. Thanks & Regards Nitesh Raghuwanshi
Thank you for the reply. I understand videos assigned to the same category are related. That does seem to work but I was asking about the 'Related' tab which had been appearing on the main page as one of the three tabs. However, that tab seems to have been replaced with a 'Random' tab on the main page, which will be fine for our purposes. The 'Related' tab does replace the 'Random' tab on the video single pages so that does seem to work as well. When will the Featured Video option be available? You all had replied to a post from last year that it would be available in the next release but I don't see it in this latest update. Is there any code adjustment we can use to make our main video stay as the main video on the home page? We don't necessarily need an Admin option to define which video is featured on the home page, although that would be nice. Thanks for the help and insights, and fine work.
Hello, I am understanding your requirement but the logic behind "Random" tab is. We are showing latest video at the home page. There is no defined category to display there. But at video single page we display videos from any particular category. So it is possible to show "Related" video of that category. But yes, we have decided to add "Featured" tab in place of "Random". And admin can control main video at the home page from theme option penal. And next week we will release theme with this feature.
