Different Types of Appointments

How does the Appointments plugin handle the different requirements of, say, a one person beauty salon where once a particular time slot is booked, it's no longer available to anyone else and a restaurant, which can take multiple bookings for the same time slot until their seating capacity is reached?

I would like to let you know that in the case of beauty salon, the owner can set various services like HAIRCUT, MASSAGE, FACEPACK etc. and can mention the price of each. Also, the date and time slot for individual services can also be set from the backend. When a customer wants to book an appointment, he/she can just fill out all the essential details like name, email, contact number and then choose the service and the suitable date & time. Then as soon as they click on Book Appointment, the user is taken to the PayPal payment page and then payment is done followed by the confirmation of booking. It must be noted that once an appointment is booked for a particular service's date & time, the same time is not available for any other user doing the booking.

Regarding the bookings in restaurant, I would like to let you know that it is a completely different functionality and couldn't be managed by such plugins as the payment is never a fixed one in cases of restaurants. Also, the services depends on the user and is purely variable. There are many other activities that needs to be offered in case of restaurant booking for which the whole plugin needs to be modified.

Here's a thought. Although to handle everything a restaurant needs would require more complexity, their base needs are handled easily.

All you need is the booking time and the number of guests plus the ability to take unlimited bookings for the same time. Plus, of course, no payment required.

Then the owner just has to keep an eye on the bookings and make the appropriate time slots unavailable as the bookings fill up.
