difficulty with theme color / top header

Hi, the theme is behaving strange, there is a picture in the top header that came with theme, sometimes it appears other time it does not. I want to remove this.
Also, the theme colors are not accurate to the color names.

As a test,
I used code for opacity, to lighten the color of lime green #header .header-overlay {
opacity: 0.2;} , and when I did this the picture I mention above displays.

A screen shot isn't going to show you anything, it's the behavior of the theme, even now it changed colors by itself. ! It is making me crazy! haha
