Drop Down Menu - further clarification

Hello again. I need to come back to you about removing the drop down menus. I used the method you last suggested (Appearance - Menus) and thought that all was well but, today, I've found out that none of my posts appeared in my News anymore. Instead, I got a 'this is embarrassing' message when I clicked on News in my main menu. My News is my blog section of the website where my posts appear. I've reverted to using the code method of eliminating the drop down menus for the time being and the News is working fine with that method. Is there something I've missed when I've set up the Appearance-Menu instructions?

 

I've found the solution to my problem - I had the wrong url listed for the News in the Menu detail. Thanks for your patience.
