I had some support from Gourav and thought I had resolved the issue. Unfortunately, it has not. My host is domainmonster.com and their support offered the following advice; Thanks for contacting Domainmonster.com Customer Support. It is possible that the theme you are using is attempting to send the mail directly through the hosting servers mail function. This mail function is disabled on our hosting server for security reasons. Normally a plug-in can be used to replace all of the settings within your WordPress installation with those of a given mailbox (you can create one for free within your hosting package allowance if you do not already have one). You can find a plug-in to use with your WordPress installation by simply searching the plug-in menu for 'SMTP'. An example plug-in that should perform the required function can be found via the below link: http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/ If this still does not resolve the problem then you may wish to contact the author of the theme or contact form you are attempting to use as this may require some code changes to allow it to work on our platform. I hope this helps, please do let me know if you require any further assistance. I installed the plugin and it has a test contact form to check it has been set up correctly. I tested with this contact form and I received the email immediately. I wrongly assumed the issue with your leadcapture form was fixed. Today I have tested the leadcapture form again several times expecting it to work and it is still not sending email alerts. Please help!!
Update: I have confirmed that my host has disabled the PHP mail() function. I have tested using another theme and used the plugin above which allows me to use my host mail server settings and it works perfectly. I still cannot get any of your themes to respond to this work around though.
Inkthemes: Please confirm that you have even read this support issue which I posted 4 days ago. I am not asking for anything unreasonable - I would just like your Blackriders theme which has been specifically designed to maximise lead capture to actually send email alerts when a lead has been captured!! I know that some hosts have not (yet) switched off PHP mail functionality but many have for security reasons and it renders your themes useless. Switching host would be a waste of time and money, because there is a risk that the new host also implements this restriction in the future. If a fix cannot be provided by you today, please could you provide me with the code required to replace the leadcapture form in BLACKRIDERS front page with an alternative form. I will use the FORMCRAFT plugin and have tested it on the BlackRiders theme - it is sending email without any issues. I see that this solution has been provided in another thread but the code provided which should be found and replaced is not within the front-page.php of BLACKRIDERS. Thanks.
Hello, Sorry for the delay. We are looking for this issue. And will provide you solution as soon as possible. Till then you can add your plugins code in place of lead capture. Check image given below.
Thanks for the update Nitesh. Unfortunately it came too late and I had to implement a workaround without the lead capture form in the header. I will bear this in mind for future though until you fix the issue.
