Hi support, could please advise why I get an error 500-Internal Server Error when I go to edit a listing from within the admin area. The listing was added via the admin area. Other listings not giving same message. Any advise on fixing appreciated. Best regards Tob
Hello, Follow the link given below http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/ I hope it will help's you.
Thank you Gourav, Had tried that, but the problem being it is only happening with 1 listing, I can do the quick edit without any problems but if I go to do main edit I get the error 500. Thanks for your help Tob
Hi Gourav, I am still getting serious amounts of Error 500 and found that 2 seo plugins, seo images and seo links plugins were causing some of them so have disabled them. But the child theme is generating errors , could you please offer advice on this, 2 of the error messages from child theme as below. showing in the error_log only appears to occur when child theme is active, the parent theme is not creating these errors. ================================================================ 31-Oct-2013 19:25:12] WordPress database error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 for query SELECT * FROM made by require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-load.php'), require_once('wp-config.php'), require_once('wp-settings.php'), include('/themes/geocrafttheme/functions.php'), include_once('/themes/geocrafttheme/library/lib_main.php'), include_once('/themes/geocrafttheme/library/controls/main_control.php'), require_once('/themes/geocrafttheme/library/controls/listing_expiry.php') [31-Oct-2013 19:25:13] WordPress database error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 for query SELECT * FROM made by require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-load.php'), require_once('wp-config.php'), require_once('wp-settings.php'), include('/themes/geocrafttheme/functions.php'), include_once('/themes/geocrafttheme/library/lib_main.php'), include_once('/themes/geocrafttheme/library/controls/main_control.php'), require_once('/themes/geocrafttheme/library/controls/listing_expiry.php') There is no point stopping the errors reporting or removing the error file as the site is creating more errors all the time, this is the 2nd site now doing this so must be a common problem somewhere. Really appreciate your advice Cheers Tob
