Error during Activation of the theme

    Hello
    I just bought the theme "infoway" and installed on a wordpress 3.5.1 with php version 5.3.16 I get the following message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /my-path/to-the-root/www/wp-content/themes/infowaytheme/functions/control.php on line 1

    Glups!
    what does it mean??

    i reinstall all the stuff (wordpress & the theme) and everything is fine now !
