I tried the free version of infoway, liked it, then bought the template. When I try to switch to the new (paid) version I get the following error and I cannot set the theme as the default.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '$file_name' (T_VARIABLE) in /public_html/wp-content/themes/infowaytheme/functions/control.php on line 1

Thank you, I have set my front page to be static, and added text, but my front page text does not appear on the home page. Please advise.

I changed the way I was going to display information on the home page, to get around this issue...
I have another problem, I set up a new page, and selected the blog template - I selected this page to be used for all of my posts.
I created a custom menu and selected posts (titles), and placed it in the primary sidebar region.
The menu does not display on my blog page, unless I change the template from blog to default. (When I change the template to default all of my posts disappear... )
Please tell me what to do... hostingninjas.com

My problem is not resolved. I am using my blog page as a 'design portfolio', so the widget named the same (design portfolio) needed to go on that page. You place another widget there instead, and when I try to move the correct widget in it's place, it still does not appear. Yet the same widget will appear on other pages... Can I hardcode my widget to appear within the blog template?

Your website is displaying the index page only, that's why we are unable to solve this issue.
Please remove your index page and activate the infoway theme in your dashboard as to display the infoway theme pages on the website ,
so that we will able to view the website and solve this issue.
