Was VERY Excited about the potential of the GeoCraft - WordPress Directory Solution (purchased the Unlimited License FE) however unlike every other theme I have ever purchased, there seems to be nearly ZERO Training (except the one limited PDF) and obviously no support. Yes I know you are celebrating Festival - but you did just launch a sale... perhaps you should consider leaving at least one person All it would take is to put together a simply series of Training Tutorial Videos walking the viewer through the set-up process. SOOOO many questions: 1) How do each of the features work? Virtually no explanation on these features and how they work and associate with other features. 2) Need to upload a database list of businesses into the Directory we created using your theme (instead of adding each one-by-one) – cannot locate any training on how to do this the easiest. 3) On sales page you show several niche themes. While I was able to download the main theme for the director and its fine I do not see these themes: like Hotels and Restaurant s, Jewelry Stores, Health & Beauty Shops, etc. 4) How to we add a video and where? 5) Do you have any LIVE support (actul human) to resolve some issues? 6) Is there no way to open a 'ticket' as opposed to visitng the Forum and spending TONS of time to TRY to find an answer... or sending an email that GOES UNANSWERED? Sooo Many more... All it would take is to put together a simply series of Training Tutorial Videos walking the viewer through the set-up process. Dennis, I'm a fellow Geocraft user and noticed your question. You weren't very specific in your questions, most of them are answered here in the forum with just a quick search. For example, there are no 'themes' to download for niches, those are examples of what other Geocraft users have done with the theme. If you want to create a site in those niches you are free to do it, just gather the data and build out the site and style it with the settings in the options panel or with some of the customization options found here in the forum like extra plugins, techniques, etc. To upload a bulk number of listings, just visit this post, it shows you how to first export your own listings since every installation will have a different file layout since you can add custom fields. (or read my post on how I solved the importing in bulk issue) Then just add your listing details according to the header information. Each field is labeled, just add your listings to the appropriate fields as noted at the top of the file and import them in the control panel. There is a screen shot on that post showing you where. I've done it several times and no training is needed, just upload the file and they are imported. You can add a video anywhere in the company description field, it's just like the 'post' area in WP, just copy and past the embed code. This is an example from another post here on the forum, note the width is set to 100% to make it the width of the description area. <iframe width="100%" height="300" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DIWVq284O-w?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe> There is no live support and no ticket system, just post your question with as many details as possible here in the forum and normally they get answered the following day, note that they are located in India so time differences apply. If you are in the US they are working while most of the US sleeps. The features in the theme are pretty self explanatory, especially if you are a WP user. Yes, a video walkthrough of the whole theme would be helpful for those new to WP, but at the special pricing, I'm very happy with the theme and wouldn't expect a dozen videos for training, although agree they would be helpful. And the support team here has been very attentive to my questions, replies normally within 24 hours and any special needs have been addressed by email when needed. It appears you have first posted on a Saturday, so I wouldn't expect an answer until Monday and jumping to the conclusion that there is no support available is unfair and not the case in my experience. And yes, this past week most of the staff was off, so I would say bad timing for your questions, but this is not normal and support replies are normally within 24 hours on average. I'm hopeful you will be patient and learn more about the theme to be able to use it to it's full potentional. All the best!

Hi, I purchased Sale Junction theme and was relatively happy with the training videos although it is only a "walkthru type" and some more curated from your other themes. Now I am looking to purchase Geocraft/Classicraft. Without the minimal training videos I will not go for it now. Tripros seems contended with his purchase.Not everyone who plans to get a directory site is a webmaster or love challenges in tackling the technicals of setting up. You may be surprised there are many enthusiasts and entrepreneurs easily more than webmasters who are owners of successful directories.Normally they will first go for easy solutions within their capacity and upgrade to more robust theme once they start to make some monies. I belong to the entrepreneur class and hope to make it successful during the early stage on a limited budget."Drive a smaller car first instead of a Ferrari in your pursuit for success". I failed to see why price has anything to do with training.The question you should ask is ; it will be 'no go" for many enthusiasts/entrepreneurs if issues on training is treated as less important or even irrelevant. Without training videos you end up with more dissatisfied customers,costly support and negative reputation of your theme in the market.Every theme owner wishes to maximize volume sales with 1.good theme features 2.good customer support 3 competitive pricing If I don't hear of training soon I will just move on to other vendors who are more positive in providing video training or even webinars to promote the theme even more. Ronald, Your perspective is similar to mine, I also belong to the entrepreneur class, although have been grateful for having technical things like using wordpress and technology in general come easy to me, so I may have a somewhat different approach than you towards these themes. Having said that, if you have done your research, you would be very aware that most wp directory themes on the market run 3-4 times or more the special offer on the geocraft theme currently and it's a great value for the features it offers. Getting it now and either learning how to use it over time or finding someone to help you get your site up and going quickly would be a great way to get going on a budget as you outlined. (this theme is not rocket science, if you can use WP then you will easily get the hang of this theme) You won't find a decent directory style theme like this anywhere near this pricepoint currently and you'll miss the opportunity and inkthemes won't blink if you don't pick it up. It will be more of a loss for you, not them. I don't come to this conversation without experience, I had invested those 3-4 times more into other WP directory themes, only to be very dissappointed with bugs, vital functions that didn't work, no training and absolutely no support. Again, at 3-4 times the price here. The support here is consistent and the team has always replied and resolved issues that I've had, at times delayed for certain functions, but have stayed in touch to resolve. They appear to be sincere in their want to be helpful. I am grateful for that since it is VERY uncommon in this industry having been in this business for over 15 years now. I have also received very good support on this forum, But so far (after 7 days with nil response), my experience with their email support is not good.
Zoro909, This may have something to do with the holiday mentioned on the top of every forum here. I've also had slow email response last week and hope that will change after this holiday this week.

I don't want to be bogged down with considerable time learning the software.There are more important tasks at hand to circumvent to make the site a success which will constitute 85% to success or failure.Outsourcing in the beginning is difficult w/o a ready budget.Time is another valuable asset which if wasted cannot be recovered. Having a walk thru video will help speed up substantially otherwise you will be groping in the dark.Let's give the owner a chance.Certainly they would view it positively if more sales volume can be forthcoming with a small investment in time to do the videos. I have to say that the customer support i have received has been quick and very helpful. Your buying a theme to build a site with!!. there are plenty of instructions on how to do it (ie) Youtube. PDF, ask questions etc etc.. Ink-themes support I believe is the best customer support i have been given. Some companies have Zero. As mentioned above by Ronald just post here on the forum any questions you may have and they will be dealt with. I take it you understand that YOU have to build the site not them?. Just install it, look at the instructions you already have to hand, play around with it and work on it. When you get stuck just pop back on here and ask a question. Its Simple really!. Ronalson, The difference is that GeoCraft is for building business directories (think online Yellow Pages) and ClassiCraft is a classified ad site builder (Craigslist style)
For me support has been ok. The problem I have is that so many issues/threads end with "give us your login credentials and we will check on it". I appreciate willingness to do that, but it feels like things are not yet stable enough, and that behind the scenes fixes cause new theme updates, which themselves create new issues. It is almost 2 months and my site has not yet been able to launch. :-( I was hoping to get just one site live and profitable, then clone it and target the same businesses a new city or cities... I would love to hear from site owners whose GeoCraft sites are live and even better -if they are profitable! Even at a low cost, I hate the idea of buying into a dream and getting only nightmares.

I tried to install a fresh copy of our updated theme into your WordPress but, I am getting the file uploading size issue in your site. I would like to inform you that - Your upload_max_filesize is 2M. Your post_max_size is 16M. Which could be increased from PHP.ini file located on your server, Kindly contact your host provider once to resolve this issue first. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have also attached the copy of the theme with the email, once you increase the php.ini upload file size limit then, you will be able ti install and activate the theme.
