I'm using the Elite Pro theme and its portfolio template and have created a portfolio page that displays posts assigned to a specific category called 'case studies' (id=6). However, these posts also display in the News (blog) page, Recent news widget and in the News page's 'next' and 'prev' links. How do I exclude my portfolio category from displaying anywhere in News?
This info may not solve the issue with your widget (it might) but it should solve the issue with your news page displaying all categories and next / prev links.
