I have uploaded my files to my hosting site - using the elitepro wordpress theme. I am getting php errors and I am not a coder. I am not able to get into the wordpress control panel to work on things. Would you be able to offer some advice? The site is www.makemydayplease.com. It's hosted on godaddy.com and I can give you username and password. I will gladly pay for your advice. I am not able to solve this by myself. Thanks!

I can't get into my wordpress control panel to upload a new theme. How do I upload again because you have to install from zip file. Can I unzip the files and upload through ftp?

I uploaded the files again through ftp. I am now getting another parse error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/01/11950301/html/wp-content/themes/eliteprotheme/functions/elite-function.php on line 1

I spoke with support at wordpress.org and they were able to help me get into my control panel so that I could reload a clean version of the theme and make a couple changes and the site is now up and running.

Thanks for offering. As I said in an earlier post, someone at wordpress.org offered me a solution to getting into my wordpress control panel and reload the theme. I was able to fix the problem. If anyone gets a parse error and can't get into their control panel simple go into the themes file and change the name of the theme folder by adding the word "old" (mine was elitepro and I put -old. This will reset everything to look at the default wordpress theme. This will allow you to get into your control panel and reload a new copy of the theme. I found on the homepage setup page, the header had the wrong permalink as did the slider pics and once I fixed that...the site came up. Thanks again for responding!
