How can I change the font to Arial in the footer and Home Page Content Area?

Put the following code in custom css
Appearance -> theme options -> styling options -> custom css

Code:

.content p {
font-family:Arial !important;
}

This will solve your problem.

Appearance > Theme Option > Styling Option > Custom CSS

Inplace of "symbol" put your font type.
