Thanks for the great updates in V1.7. Changing 'Pro' to a 'Premium' option is a great move when marketing a directory to businesses. Now that we have 'Premium' listings it seems that 'Standard' listings are missing, and this would give more options for businesses to join the directory and to pay for a lower cost service upgrade (some businesses may not want to pay a PREMIUM price) Having three options gives greater perceived value in my opinion. e.g. 1) FREE - with very limited options (e.g. description, address and map) 2) STANDARD (could be $50 year) with a select few options (e.g. all above plus say website link and contact form) 3) PREMIUM (could be $300 year) with all listings/custom options - plus click to call, click to email and all social media links - and the new 'Premium' banner PREMIUM could also appear above all STANDARD entries in each category I suggest two ways STANDARD could be added very easily. 1) add a STANDARD 'tick box' inside the dashboard for each 'Listing Type' (in between FREE and PREMIUM) 2) add a STANDARD 'tick box' inside each 'Custom Field Option' (like the 'Enable for free listing' option) Then in PAYMENT SETTINGS rename the options 1) Standard Package: One Time Payment 2) Standard Package: Recurring Payment then duplicate the above and rename 3) Premium Package: One Time Payment 4) Premium Package: Recurring Payment This seems like it would be an easy add-on to the theme and add great value. I'm curious what others think... and if support will consider this for next upgrade.
Unfortunately there isn't a way to do that with our theme unless you custom code something up. Sorry. If this isn't something you're able to do then you would need to hire a developer for this.
Thanks Nitesh - do you think my suggestion above will work if I get a developer? Any suggestions on how to do this - I'm sure you understand the coding. What do you think?
I would like to see the option of Featured listings to appear before regular listing in that category the listing is placed.
