Please see a screenshot for my setting: http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/7679/ju94.png Even with front page OFF, it still shows theme's built-in home page. Such a thing to be fixed asap. Regards, Anton
Hello Anton, Please provide the following information listed below. Thread Link: http://www.inkthemes.com/community/threads/front-page-on-off-does-not-work.6150/ Your Website URL: WordPress Username: WordPress Password: Send this information on our email at [email protected] I will check and resolve your issue
Hi. 1. We do not share access to our websites. Do you? 2. "Your Website URL" - I can't give it because it is not live yet. It was tested on my local machine installation. You have to reproduce the problem. WordPress latest version. 3. I'm not going to duplicate my request to [email protected] because of two reasons: - reason 1) earlier, when communicating with your company by [email protected], I was told to put all my technical issues in this forum; - reason 2) in your every message in this forum you say: "Note for Everyone: Please create your separate threads while asking technical issues" - so that is what I've done - I have created a thread and reported a problem. Just solve it, please. Regards, Anton
Hello Anton, Colorway theme don't have such problem. I have asked for detail just to know the environment in which you are running this theme. So for now Follow solutions given below. 1) Go to the Dashboard > Settings > Reading and any static page as a front page. or 2) Please download theme again from your members area and upload it. It will resolve this issue. If not then rename front-page.php manually through ftp.
Hi. Please, if you want to know the environment in which I'm running the theme - just ask me about this rather then asking for passwords. As about your proposition: 1) Go to the Dashboard > Settings > Reading and any static page as a front page. I've done this at a time of testing because I was trying to setup a static page for the home page. Actually, I tried both scenarios - with and without setting up a static page, both scenarios with a theme's setting to not replace home page. And in both cases it did not work correctly. As about option 2) Please download theme again from your members area and upload it. It will resolve this issue. I do not understand the idea - why should I download theme again if I have the latest version already? Finally, this proposition is totally strange: >> If not then rename front-page.php manually through ftp. I do not understand to which name should I rename front-page.php and why should I touch files of a commercial theme. I'm still in need of solution for this issue. P.S. Also, can you please answer more often then once a day. It it really not a good idea to answer only once at the end of your working day, and then I always have to wait till next day, so our conversation only moves one message a day. Thank you. Anton
Hello, This is the only reason why we ask for dashboard. We have provided you random solutions which not worked at your side. And now again we provide you some random solutions don't know they will work for you or not because your issue is not global and not occurring at our site. Providing random solution is just a wastage of your time. Some time this issue occur when server do not provide permission of file rename. When we set front page off. Theme rename it to front-page-hold.php and at your site this is not happening. So please contact to your service provider.
Please let me know which file exactly to rename and what new file name have to be set. Also, why your theme is renaming files instead of using WordPress hooks?
Hello, You have to rename the front-page.php to front-page-hold.php. We have created our own function to rename front-page.php.
No theme is allowed to rename files ever. Theme must use WordPress native filters to replace home page content. Please fix it. P.S. Can you specify what file exactly? File name is not everything - please also tell the file path.
