    Hi,
    1) Can somebody explain, why the front-page.php is not showing in de admin where to edit or add new pages? Also, when I want to change the general settings for reading and check the option "
Front page displays" on static page; why can't I chose the template's homepage...it is not visible here..
When I look in the editor, the front-page.php is there...
    I do not understand this.

    2) Also I seem to have some problems with a
seo plugin. Google won't display the description tag I filled in at Yoast (or All in one seo neither). I read somewhere that this might happen because of a problem/conflict with the theme-code.

    Can someone explain this?

So on the front the website is showing the home page, wich I did not make on my own, but comes with the theme.
Yesterday I added one new page "about me" and it appears also on the website. I even do not have to make or add it to a menu, because automaticly, when adding a new page, the name/title off the page appears in the menu.
So there are "home" (the temp file) and "about me". In the general settings I cannot chose the temp homepage to static page. I can chose only the about me page.
I discoverd, that when I add a new page, call it "home" and apply the default theme to it, there are now 2 home pages wich look the same (so indeed the right template was assigned to it) and 2 home buttons in the menu.
Now I CAN apply static page to the second "home" page...BUT ..now I cannot remove the original homepage.. It just doesn't show not in the pages section and not in the menu...

    Hello,
Go to the Reading Settings ( Settings > Reading ) and select "Your latest posts" option for Front page displays section,
this will display the default home page of theme and you can edit the content of this default home page from the Theme Options panel.
If we do not want the default home page of Theme then we will select the static page option for Front page displays ans select that page which we want to display on the front page.
