Hello, You can try NextGEN Gallery plugin for this issue. Download it from the link given below and install it from the Plugins panel (Plugins ->Add New ->Upload) in your Dashboard. http://wordpress.org/plugins/nextgen-gallery/ After that create gallery and then go to the Appearance > Widgets panel in your dashboard and drag & drop nextgen widget in the Home Page Right Feature Widget Area. This will solve your issue.
Thanks, One more question about this widget. Can you link the gallery from the widget to gallery page so that you can click on the gallery header and it will take you to the gallery page?
