I'm using the Geocraft theme for a salesforce that will sell listings to local businesses in many locations throughout the U.S.

Ideally, I'd like the homepage to be only a master list of the local areas we are serving with links to each one that only has that local area's listings. I've already started this here at with Bergen County New Jersey as the first local area.

The only way I see being able to do this is to create a sub directory for each location and install a separate instance of Wordpress for each one. This means setting up many, many versions as we grow.

Is there any way to do this with just one installation? Look at Craigslist.org as an example of how a master directory serves more local listing groups.

Ok, this was helpful but I'm having a problem. On the Menus page in the admin bottom left I see a section named "Categories" but none of the "listing categories" are shown here. It just reads "uncategorized". How do I get all of the categories to show here so I can select from them to create the new menu?

Wow, thanks. So next question related to this: ideally I would like the url path to the listing to include the menu path since I think it adds to the relevancy of the listing to include the state, town, and business type. So I'd like the url to look like this as an example: mydomain.com/new-jersey/montvale/chiropractor/actual-business-name. How would you create this? Do I need to create a page for each? Do I just make a permalink on the listing page with all of the words I want included?

    Hello Roger,

Sorry, but this is not possible to do with the theme. Changing the permalink structure will create problem in your directory site.
